I bought this humidifier a year ago. I like it because there are no filters to mess with. It's easy to keep clean and sanitized. It takes just a few minutes to heat up and start steaming. It does make a little noise, but not enough to be bothersome at night, at least for me. Since using this humidifier, I've noticed my skin is not as dry in the winter and it has been really helping with my sinus infections. A year later and it still works great.

I bought this unit at the start of last winter and it is wonderful. I can't recommend the WARM MIST enough if you are buying it due to dryness from the furnace. I had a cold mist one prior and it made the room freezing cold which in turn made me turn up the heat, which made me need more humidity in the air....
As far as this unit, it is very quite and "percolates" with low, soft, crackles which are not bothersome at all. It hold a decent amount of water and I keep it on throughout the night. The design is good so that it takes up minimal floor space and I like the safety feature in which in turns off when it runs out of water. I LOVE not having to have any filters to deal with and it remains in good clean shape if I soak the bottom tray in vinegar to remove harm water stains.
One minor complaint is that it is recommended that the bottom tray only be placed in the top rack of diswashers, but is constructed in such a shape that it always collects a large pond of water.
Overall I think it runs great and is probably equally as good as some other more expensive models. I would highly recommended.

I have been a bionaire customer for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed your product -- in fact the one I replaced was 10 years old warm mist CMP3 without problems except now for the switch - if it wer available, I would have repaired it. Too bad that people give products a bad name because they certainly do not read instructions or misuse it. And, I find this one is working fine, I use distilled water cheaap at discount stores three fills then one regular tap-water fill. I just hate to see the warm-mists biting the dust coming on with filters, wicks, and sumps -- which become a big expense and poor effiency. The warm mist actually helps keep the heating bills down instead of using heat to heat the cool mist. I do not want airconditioning colling effect - jus the warm comfort feeling. Too bad because of those who want everything instantly without a littl thought. I hope you continue with the warm mist as industry uses in their laboratories -- no bacteria to worry about. thanks for listening.

This unit is wonderful! It has a soothing burbulling sound, puts out clean, warm mist as it states and being able to adjust the amount of mist so efficiently is a great feature. Because there is no filter (makes it less expensive to use and easier to clean) the unit has to be cleaned decently often so it functions properly, as it says in the instructions. But the unit is designed in a way that it is amazingly easy and efficient to clean, no hassle, and no mess, just a little effort. Well worth it. Don't forget to clean it out, use filtered of distilled water if it is available, and reset it with each use and you are set! Easy and lovely!
We have an earlier design of this unit, and after 4 years and many uses it is still going strong. We also have used this unit many many times so far and it has been a superb warm mist humidifier. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a warm mist humidifier that is fairly quiet (can hear the boiling which is lulling), antimicrobial, easy to use, has its own filter so the harmful chemicals, etc in the water won't get into your lungs, can adjust the setting to ones desired humidity, safe since it turns itself off when it is empty and is long lasting.
We are very happy with this unit, and will purchase from Holmes again!

Thanks to my cold, dry apartment, I have chronic sinus infections. I bought this humidifier and it has been amazing - the air is pleasantly un-dry and my nose is very happy! I definitely notice a positive difference now that I run this particular unit, and I can tell when it has been off all day (I only run it at night). :) It is easy to fill, easy to clean, and I kind of like the soft water sounds it makes as it 'percolates'. :) There was a lot of belly-aching about this product on other sites, but with proper use and care, it is a really worthwhile product.
