I love fresh herbs but over the winter buy them (at high prices) at the grocery store and then HATE it when they go bad in days. With the Herb Savor, I've kept basil for more than two weeks and I've put basil and mint together with no cross flavoring. Fresh mint lasts a month.
The Herb Savor is easy to clean and use. In fact, I'm buying one for my mom for Mother's Day. I may get one for my sister while I'm at it. I had heard about this product but it actualy exceeded my expectations. It paid for itself with the first four batches of herbs that didn't go bad before I could use them.

I purchased the Prepara Herb Savor for my mother for her birthday in December, and now I'm returning to buy one for myself.
As someone who really appreciates fresh herbs in her cooking, my mother found that she could keep cilantro (which typically gets slimy in a matter of days in the fridge) for about 3 weeks! I hate shelling out a premium for fresh herbs I don't grow in my garden, such as mint and dill, only to have them spoil after I've used them for the recipe for which I've purchased them. Now, I'll be able to get my money's worth out of the herbs I buy and have fresh herbs for weeks! I can't wait to use the Herb Savor in my own kitchen!

Of all the products out there designed to keep herbs fresh I think this one is the best. The base is weighted to make it stable. It has a slim design that fits easily in the fridge but has large capacity that will fit a whole bunch of cilantro or parsley. It provides easy access to the herbs and also changing the water. I was able to keep cilantro fresh for 2 1/2 weeks. I could see having 2 or more to be able to keep my staples like cilantro and parsley fresh and have another for herbs I buy more infrequently. A real money saver!

I have a problem buying fresh herbs with good intentions of using them, but life gets in the way sometimes and my good intentions go south. Needless to say, I have thrown away more fresh herbs than I have actually used. When I ordered this product, I thought, even if it only somewhat works, it will be worth it. And to my great surprise and pleasure, I found out that it actually does what it says it will do. I have had fresh cilantro in the herb keeper for almost 2 weeks now and it still looks as fresh as the day I put in in there. No Kidding! I am amazed. And, I have only changed the water in the keeper once (which isn't as often as I was supposed to, but it got pushed to the back of the fridge and I sorta forgot about it - very much like what happens to my fresh herbs when I buy them and forget to use them). When I saw the herb keeper after rearranging the top shelf of the fridge, I thought, oh no, another bunch of cilantro down the drain and no pico de gallo like I was planning on, but the cilantro was still perfect. I highly recommend this product. I will probably buy a couple more of them to give to my daughters.

Very practical product. A great match for your aerogrow garden when your harvest is more than you can use fast. It fits easily in the fridge and keeps your herbs ready to grab and use.
