Amazon.com Product Description A perfect fit for kitchens, bedrooms, offices, and other locations that don't have room for a full-sized stereo, the Teac SR-L38MP3 is slender enough to go almost unnoticed, but powerful enough--with 9 watts per channel and a pair of 2.3-inch full-range bass-reflex speakers--to deliver clear, pleasing sound. Listeners have the choice of setting it on a desk, where it sits only 4.6 inches deep, or mounting it on a wall to save even more space. The wall location adds an extra bonus by suspending the control buttons at eye level, so you can adjust the volume as you walk by without searching for the remote control. The device even functions as a digital clock with handy sleep and wake timers. The CD player incorporates all the basic functions, such as 20-track programming, random play, and repeat play, but also plays MP3s when recorded on a CD-R, further expanding your audio options. Should you want to listen to the radio instead, simply switch to the drift-free, quartz PLL-synthesized AM/FM tuner, which offers 20 station presets (10 AM and 10 FM) for immediate one-touch tuning. The presets make it a breeze to locate your favorite program or surf for other options during commercial breaks. Additional features include a headphone jack for private listening and an auxiliary input that lets you connect an iPod, MP3 player, cassette deck, or any other device with a 3.5 mm headphone output. The system, which also comes with a remote control, measures 15 by 7.9 by 4.6 inches total (W x H x D) and weighs 7.7 pounds. What's in the Box SR-L38MP3 stereo, remote control, batteries, user's manual.

Excellent !!! March 30, 2007 I installed it on one of my apartment's kitchen walls, the sound and looks are great, there is no need to adjust the bass/treble, I've been using it every day since I bought it... my family is in love with it too, great investment, no complaints at all!
Stylish... but not good... March 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just bought this unit and use it for a couple of days. Nowdays is hard to find a good portable radio CD with a good look and style. But in the vey first minute I begun to miss certain functions:
-When out of current; all presets and clock adjunt will be missing... -The display never turns off... -No RDS, so it is not possible to read the radio station name... -And bass is extremelly bad and present when listening the radio, it is OK with most CD reproduction. Not possible to reduce... -No batteries, only AC. -When oppening the CD door, the looks is just black plastic...
Quite a bad product...
Not happy with the bass November 4, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This stereo would be great if it wasn't for the fact that the bass is far too much and can't be turned down.
Just OK August 30, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was rated the best of all the machines in this type. I cannot get the MP3 player to work with my CDs. Perhaps I have to make new CDs and format them in a manner agreeable with the TEAC. Also, the reciever is just OK for the tight valley I live in, so I get a background full of static.
Still, it has strong sound, the timer brings up commercial CD or tuner stations on-time. I miss a buzzer, but I will know I am late when the music goes off automatically.
The only one I could find. July 5, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Non of the retail stores had a machine with these features. It's incrdibly hard to find a player that will play MP3 disks and which has the timer features this TEAC model does. In that respect it is exactly what I was looking for. I also like the heavy base tone and am not sure I would mess with it if I could. I would prefer a manual door rather than the motorized door (which works fine) and it would be nice if it played multiple disks so I could load it up with non-MP3 disks when that urge struck. If you buy or check out books on MP3 disks from the library, this is just what you are looking for. Set the timer, fluff your pillow, and let it put you to sleep. It's relatively easy to go back the the next night and find the last track you remember.
